           in precipitation at an alumina refinery.

      Problem
       -   Long term physical health problems for operators
           resulting from the mechanical effort required closing
           the valves.
       -   The subsequent incomplete isolation of the service resulting
           in lost production.

      Solution
       - A valve and hydraulic actuators system incorporating a seat
         grinding system was designed and site trialed.
       - The valve has been adopted after clear economic benefits
         and safe procedures were confirmed.
